Small batch. Big heart. Local love.

Built in a season of becoming.
The Black Wren began during my first year of motherhood, when sourdough became more than something to bake. It became a creative outlet and a way to find a piece of my own identity again.
What started as an idea for a small outdoor stand grew into a local micro bakery and coffee business serving a community we already loved.
The name was inspired by our youngest daughter, without whom none of this would exist. Her dad built the black shed. Our older girls help run the stand. Our littlest comes along for every bake and every shift as our unofficial baby barista and management.
My mom helped make our first launch feel possible, arriving with the encouragement, experience, and family recipes that still shape what we make today.

Why small batch
Baking with a baby is no joke. Preorders and limited batches let us work with intention, use clean and simple ingredients, and make products we genuinely feel good sharing, without overcommitting our family.
We work hard, create things we’re proud of, and cultivate community.
Our weekly rhythm
The black shed at Game of Fitness is our home for all things Black Wren. We’re a separate business, but you’ll often find us supporting GOF socials, run club, weekend events, and member pickups.

Our sage-green cart with wood accents opens on select weekends based on the weekly bake and community demand. As we grow, we’re working toward a self-pay farm-stand rhythm with fresh bread, baked goods, canned coffee, easy QR payment, and convenient preorder pickup.

The next drop
Sourdough takes days, not hours. Ordering ahead helps us plan each batch and guarantees your loaf before Saturday’s extras sell out.
